چکیده

Postharvest losses from fungal pathogens to essential fruits and vegetables are enormous alarming. Orthodox synthetic fungicides being used as a regular practice restrict these losses. However, now by knowing the hazards of chemical-based fungicides, situation demands alternative green technology. Consequently, many angiosperms plant extracts have been evaluated for their antifungal nature achieved substantial success. second most prevalent flora on land, i.e. bryophytes, scarcely somewhat remain neglected besides remarkable thallus organization, water relations antimicrobial potential. For postharvest fungus control, first land plants' be researched promoted due concerns about drug resistance, nephrotoxicity biomagnification related current fungicides. Since amphibious plants unique protective mechanism against or bacterial attacks phytochemistry, therefore great potential eco-friendly Considering factors, this article seeks direct attention interested researchers toward relatively accessible but vast underutilised bryo-diversity investigate agents in laboratories then commercial scale future.
